Civil Litigation & Criminal Trial Work
Prior to admission to the California State Bar Association, Julie Mehrban obtained over 10 years of experience as a managing litigation paralegal in consumer protection, civil rights and class action litigation. Today, litigation remains a primary practice area for Julie Mehrban. As an ambitious and devoted practitioner, Julie Mehrban has argued and appeared at more than100 court hearings, including various law and motion proceedings, Case Management Conferences, Orders to Show Cause, Status Conferences, Mandatory Settlement Conferences, Pre-Trial Conferences, ex parte application hearings, and more. Julie Mehrban has petitioned the California Supreme Court for review, written and opposed appellate briefs, and argued before the California Court of Appeals where she prevailed on an anti-SLAPP motion appeal. In addition, Julie Mehrban has tried approximately 10 trials through verdict as a Civil Rights advocate, and as a volunteer Deputy Prosecutor with the Los Angeles Office of the City Attorney, Central Trials Division.
Trial Advocacy
Julie Mehrban, Esq. is authorized to try cases in California state and federal courts, has prepared for at least 50 bench and jury trials, and has tried approximately 10 trials through verdict. Julie Mehrban underwent extensive trial advocacy training through the Los Angeles County Bar's Trial Advocacy Project, including extensive training in evidence and witness examination. Julie Mehrban was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. As an alumni of UCLA, Julie Mehrban has spent most of her life striving for academic achievement. While attending UCLA, Julie Mehrban also obtained her real estate license as California Realtor® in Los Angeles and has sold and leased millions of dollars' worth of commercial and residential real estate. Today, Julie Mehrban is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Morse Mehrban, A.P.C. where she handles civil litigation and business law matters in California state and federal courts, with a concentration in trial advocacy. She has also began her own practice, Mehrban Law Corporation, A.P.C. Julie Mehrban remains a volunteer Deputy Prosecutor in the Central Trials Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, where she handles criminal jury trials. In 2009, Julie Mehrban developed Sunset Cove Wear of Los Angeles, an online women’s fashion storefront that specializes in offering unique California Wear and carries various lines of clothing, designer swimwear and high fashion accessories. In addition, Julie Mehrban developed Ex Parte Financial, a California-based judgment enforcement company. Julie Mehrban, Esq. has also provided business consulting services and legal services to various Los Angeles businesses, including, TackZone.com, Tiger Lilly Collection, Ulla Swimwear of Los Angeles and Radpour.com.
